June 9 Bogard Campground, 5600' Larson Co. Calif. - Heard one bird singing this afternoon, in Pine-sage at the edge of a grassy meadow with willows bordering the stream. This is the area of the meadows at Bogard Range Sta., where Lindsay reported spurious "20pr.t" in the Larsen section.
The Ranger station has moved ca. 1 mi. W.of its old location. See journal for fuller description of area.

There is a good green low ground cover, and a few clumps of Acer 3ft. high. The first bird heard (taken) sang \, -- \, -. Others can be heard with the same general song, less descent on the trill.
