throat feathers buffy to light tan. One throat
feather in pin-stage, a few others with remnants
of sheaths at base. Lower throat buffy, darkening
in band on upper breast. Breast pure white.
Belly dark, rufous-buffy with dark green medial
area and white base. Primaries nearly pure
white, rich shaft, except for distal 1/3 of shaft,
and outer. Well outer primary with dark-
ening distally. Other primaries with small
amount of dark at tip. Secondaries with dark
shaft, very little dark on vanes; light-
rufous spot
at tip of inner row. Marginals of underwing
pinkish, with dark [illegible] green center flochs.
Underwing coverts with dark, green centers;
Rufous (light) on axillars and some underwing
coverts, extending a little to flank. Upper
greater primary coverts white, green centers
near tip. Marginals dark. A row of feather
missing (lane skin shows) between marginals +
lesser primary coverts, both ways, to wrist. Middle
(?) primary coverts white edged, large dark spot centrally.
The bird was a male, testes less than 1 mm. The
shell was unsatisfied. Medium fat, on lack of throat.
