Banks 1961 Albino Calyptra anna 2. Mar. 29 Contra Costa El Cerrito, Alameda Co., Calif. Chased by a Rufus. It disappeared for about 5 min. than returned & perched in a thicket. Don W. shot it, about 11:35. Description follows: Weight 4.0gm. Bill dark, short, broad at base. Feet pink with black douting. Eye black. Crown nearly pure white, but occasional green spots & barules near the ends of many of the crown feathers. Anterior superciliary region loses with buffy tips to feathers. Back feathers mainly white, with greenish on some bars near feather tips - back is considerably darker than head. Upper tail covets similar to back, but darker, with dark shafts. Rectix 1-1 - distal 1/2 of shaft dark; distal 1/3 of web greenish, iridescent to slight degree. Narrow band of light at tip. Rectix 2-2 - distal 1/2 of shaft dark, distal 1/3 of web green, iridescent. Band on tip of feathers light flesh or pinkish. 3-3 - as 2-2, slightly more green. 4-4, lighter than 3:2, more extensive pink, extending in on inner vane for 1/4". 5-5, distal 1/4 light, pinkish refons, esp. outer vane, next 1/4 greenish, proximal 1/2 white. Tail from below similar, but lighter. Under tail coverts pinkish buff for distal 1/2, proximally white. Several of these feathers have green spots centrally situated on the distal half of the feather. Throat feathers white based with dark centers, esp. a spot distally. Edges of
