Just observed one dive directly toward the other June 19 One, at least, flying and diving on this inclement evening. Precipitation falling, a mixture of rain, sleet, and snow. 8pm. Completely overcast, cold. June 21 N Santiam River at Bengalow Creek, 2500 + ft., Linn Co., Oregon. Flushed 2 birds close together on ground. One flew just a few feet and landed, then flew again.
