Banks 1954 Zonotrichia leucophrys 39. July 11 Emi S Kaiser Pass, 8800 ± ft., Fresno Co. Calif - 699 was one of a pair of birds, obtained after a long chase. As I was standing quietly observing a variety of species, I saw come into sight*, from a direction where I had heard a bird sing. 701 was shot as it was singing - --- from a dead aspen. Heard White-crowns singing, as I was leaving the mountains, as far down as Badger Flat, which is about 8500 ft.
