Zonotrichia allicollis Apr. 11 Strawberry Canyon, Alameda Co., Calif. - just before noon heard this species singing on the N-facing slope, toward the bottom of the canyon, close to the tennis courts. I went to the area, and the bird responded to squeaking; it was in the brush and low trees. The white throat patch was very evident, but I couldn't see much else.
