Balds 1954 Molothrus ater June 16 [mi,] Shore Acres, 500 St., Coos Co., Oregon - at 9:45 a.m. at the quarry, shot a G Cowbird on the ground. It is presumably one of a pair I had seen here a couple days ago. I did not see the B at this time, but could hear him somewhere in the vicinity. On dissection, the bird was found to have an unshelled egg in the oviduct, three ruptured follicles, and ova 7, 4, and 2 mm. in diameter. June 17 Sunset Beach State Park, Coos Co., Oregon Several times during the morning I have heard the rattle of the G Cowbird flying over the camp grounds here.
