Banks 1959 Bullock Oriole Icterus bullochii June 17 Shore Acres State Park, 100+ ft. Eros W. Oregon Although I did not see this species here, I have reason to suspect its occasional presence. While talking to Bruce Baker, Park Foreman, he notified a bird that was largely orange and black. From the plates in Peterson, he picked this species as being most like it, although he said he could not remember exactly how it was colored. Later his wife talking about the same bird said she had tried to look it up in a book, and came out with Baltimore Oriole. Their town is right here at Shore Acres Park. I looked at the area briefly, but didn't see or hear anything.
