June 28 Kye Bay, Comox, Vancouver Island, B.C.
type, lives alone. He has travelled collected
a lot knows a lot about birds & mammals,
and is one of the last of the "old school" of
ornithologists. He is currently working on a
biography of the Allen Brooks, going over
his old diaries, & has just completed some
work on the Pigeon Hawk. Left him
about 5 p.m., drove to Miracle Beach Prov.
Park, made camp about 9-9:30 p.m., after
which I made these notes.
