June 18. Cape Lookout State Park, Tillamook Co., Oregon
This morning is dark, with a high fog.
Can hear Golden Crowned Kinglet, Robin,
White-crowned Sparrow, Olive-backed Thrush
6mi S 5mi W Tillamook, 4mi NE Tillamook Co. Oregon
Hunted for a while in this recently logged
area. White-crows are here, but widespread
and very wild. The ground is muddy, and
there is little or no grass. Brush is fairly thick,
and there are many fallen logs. Birds here:
olive-sided Flycatcher, Band-tailed Pigeon,
Song Sparrow, Black-headed Grosbeak, Paleolated
Warbler, Orange-crowned Warbler, Barn Swallow,
Amer. Goldfinch, Allen (?) Hummingbird, Steller
Jay, Bachin compare also the jays &
warblers, also Oregon Junco, Western Flycatcher,
Chestnut-backed Chickadee, hairy Woodpecker.
Netarts Bay, Also here in the logged area, which
is owned by Crown Zellerbach, saw Chipmunk
and a deer. Caught some Vents. There are
several rather rapid streams going thru bee.

In the afternoon hunted on this spit, which
extends from State Park land. It is grassy &
herbaceous in many places, with thicker brush
of heaths, Rose, etc, in some areas. In some
places it is hard to get thru, except by following
deer trails. At the end of the bay there are
