The county is mixed sage and piñon. July 27 Middle Cr., 8000 ft., White Mts., Esmeralda Co., Nevada I set out fifty traps, 20 in a marshy meadow and the rest on a steep rocky slope of mixed piñon and sage I caught out one immature P. truei (915) in the rocks. Only other mouse caught in vicinity was P. maniculatus.
