Battholomew 1941 Sores palustrius July 22 3 mi. S Mt.Rose, 8600 ft., Washoe Co., Nevada ?52 was caught about 8 inches from edge of a swiftly flowing stream approximately four feet wide and 8 to 10 inches deep. Trap was a museum special mousetrap baited with oat meal and placed in short grass (green) underneath an elder berry bush. 50 traps were set out along the edge of this same stream, but no other shrews were caught. The traps on either side of the one in which the S. palustrius was caught, caught micrositis longicaudus.
