Arctic fox

June 23 Barrow, Alaska
on something, remaining there for about a minute. We pinpointed the area and headed towards it with our weasel.
Arriving at the location we wandered about and found a freshly broken ruddy turnstone egg sucked empty of its contents. It was also noticed that after the fox had it this egg he stopped to defecate. This was also observed at several other stops he made.
The parent turnstones were in the area when we were there and were flying about complaining. The nest was roughly constructed on a high polygon in a mossy, lichen area
While in the weasel, we were able to approach the fox to within about 3-400 yards before we got out of the weasel and he saw no he ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction
July 12 Timothy Dryer reported seeing a fox out near the point on a weasel trip there yesterday evening.

July 23 Barrow, Alaska Don Stephens, who takes a trip to the point every day, has stated that he sees
