hairless, eyes closed; nest seems to be carefully constructed so that 6 young are lying in a hole (of smaller diameter) under the ♀ parent.

June 28 Two young weighed, one = 4.4 other 3.9. All sit still alive, hairless, eyes closed, toes still fused. Young covered with mites. Female parent stood in corner of cage and chattered (beat teeth together rapidly)
June 29 All 6 still alive. Two weighed - one 4.4 the other 4.5. The reason I usually only weigh two and why I only weigh every second day is due to the fact that I do not want to disturb the female or the litter too much. If I can possibly obtain
