Dicrostonyx
July 16 Barrow, Northern Alaska
in two lots of two hundred. Animals
for each separate date were placed
in separate bags. When the bag
containing lemmings caught
June 7 was emptied, a Dicrostonyx
was among all the Lemmus. This
individual was prepared as a study
skin. I cannot think how this
animal could possibly have gotten
mixed in by mistake from anywhere
else and is therefore considered as
coming from Wainwright proper.
