E. M. Brock 1958 Longspur 3 June 30 Atkasuk, Mead River Coal Mine, Alaska mean turnet two was peeping, waiting to be fed. Another juvenile fledgling found dead on the beach, apparently starved. Aug 6 Jim Myers has given me a report told to him by Helmricks [illegible] adopted son? Jim Helmricks. The boy states that he shot a female(?) Longspur on the west side of the graveyard at Barrow Village on June 1, 1958. The bird was banded and the band was saved by the boy. There- fore the following number is correct as read by Mr. Myers: 54-01522
