Glaucons Gull
June 4 Barrow, Alaska
On a weasel trip out to the gas well and one mile beyond, two gulls were seen flying separately. Today was the first day of observation at Barrow since my arrival here yesterday.
June 11 Wainwright, Alaska
One solitary gull seen flying by in an easterly direction. This is the first gull I have seen since arriving at Wainwright on the 9th.
June 14 One gull seen flying east out over the ocean ice.
June 17 Barrow, Village
On a weasel trip to central marsh, observed a gull in the distance (with binoculars) tearing at an object on the ground and lifting it. This could have been a lemming but at this distance it was not possible to tell. Two other gulls were seen flying overhead without stopping or hunting. These were all that were seen in a three hours trip on the tundra.
June 22 Two gulls were seen separately, flying by overhead.
June 25 Atkasuk, Medel River Coal Mine, Alaska
Two Gulls were seen flying past warigan.
June 26 Four Gulls seen separately during course of the days.
