M, Brock 1957 Stercorarius longicaudus At Kusuk, Mead River Coal Mine, Northern Alaska June 8 While setting out transect No I I saw a long tailed jaeger flying overhead. Another individual was seen in flight leading in a north east direction. Both of these individuals flew towards me so that they came within 20-30 feet of me. June 9 Long tailed jaeger seen at 10:30 seated about 100 yards north of stacks 9,4 of transect I Parrow Northern Alaska July 16 when going out to check transects IV A and IV B, I noticed a group of 13 long tailed and parasitic jaegers flying high overhead nearly directly over the two transects. They were all gathered together at the time I first saw them but quickly dispersed all going in different directions. This is the first occasion &on which I've seen jedges in a group like this. July 26 A long tail jaeger has been noticed flying in the vicinity of traplines VII and VIII It was noticed hovering in the area today and seen flying about the area yesterday
