Parasitic jaeger
June 4 Barrow, Alaska
After arriving at Barrow yesterday, I made
my first trip out on the tundra today. Two
jaegers seen [illegible] at a great distance were
identified as parasitic by Bill Maher
June 10 Walnwright, Alaska
During the course of the day only one
parasitic jaeger was seen and it seemed
to stay in the area and hunt.
June 25 Atkasuk, Mead River Coal Mine, Alaska
A pair was observed near transect VII and
VIII. They stayed in the area all during the time
the trip lines were being placed out. A nest
may be present in the area. Another parasitic
was observed later flying by the wagon.
June 26 Two parasites seen separately, while
checking triplines this morning. Two more
seen in afternoon.

June 27 On a boat trip up the Mead River for
about five miles and back which took us
about six hours, we saw only two
parasitic jaegers
June 29 One jaeger seen flying over transect IV
July 6 Barrow Alaska
A group of mine parasitic seen near
Volschlag Slough. When on ground seemingly
pecking at insects!
