Pintail
Athasuk, Mead River Coal Mine, Alaska
June 9
Four pintail eggs were collected from
a nest which apparently originally had
6 or 8 eggs in it. Several of the eggs had been
broken. The nest was located about one
mile north of the waiigan.
June 19
I went to look at the pintail nest Bill
had told me about. It is about 100 yards
SE of the coal mine. After the female
flushed, 9 blue-green eggs were seen.
The nest was made of down.
