E.M.Brock 1958 Journal Aug 29 Barrow, Alaska a very few traps had been set off, the sun was considered good and the trap retrieved. Transect II A and II B were set out Transects XI and XII checked and found to be much drier and should be run, time permitting. Aug 30 Caught up on field notes. Prepared skeleton of "Pitmigea" wheatear and a golden plover. Checked transect II A and II B in morning and evening. Not a single bird or lemming taken. Aug 31 Prepared study skin of a sanderling. Packed material to be sent to M.V.Z. Started on cleaning lab. Sept 1 Prepared study skin of sknot collected ysterday Continued to pack material for tentative departure tomorrow.
