July 14 Barrow, Alaska
a reddly Turnstone by the oil drum dump in back of Barow camp. Also saw a pair of Red pells there and shot one and prepared it as a study skin. The sandpiper and the turnstone were also prepared as study skins.
July 15 Pitt Point, Alaska
waited for plane departure from Barrow to Pitt Point. Left Barow at about 1300 along with Tim Myers. In a very short time, by bush plane, we were at Pitt Point, which is about 100 miles southeast of Barrow.
We were greeted by Ed Londone and Jack Bittman and signed in at the camp. It was noticed right away that the forage here seemed to be much greener then at Barrow.
Transect I and II were found and trigling wen set out at both. No recent lemming signs were noticed. It is doubtful whether any lemmings will be taken. One pair of parasitic jaegus wer seen. Several gulls were noticed.
A walk was also taken to the beach. Birds noticed so far were parasitic jaegus, glaucous gulls, red phalarope, red backed
