M. Brock 1958 June 15 Wainwright, Alaska The morning check of the traps totaled only three birds. The ice and snow which is receding rapidly is retrieving more traps left behind by Solomen, these were retrieved. Only two poramine jaegers seen during the trap check. On my walk up and down the exposed (from snow) part of the beach only two poramine jaegers were noticed. For my entire stay here and with all the walking I've done over the tundra about five dead lemmings is all that I have found. The evening check of the trapline yielded no catch. The traps were picked up and brought in. Two poramine jaegers were seen while checking the traps. June 16 with Barow, Alaska Wated for plane to arrive. Packed in morning and loaded traps and equipment on Homer Bodfish's sled which then took me to the plane. The plane arrived at 1000. Homer, once again charged for the trip, $4.00 this time. About six seal were seen on the ice during the trip home. Arrived at
