Aug 29 Checked trapline VII and VIII in
the morning and evening and
found absolutely nothing. The area
is extremely wet and spongy. Finally,
finished processing the backlog of
lemmings. Packed soil specimens
which were collected yesterday.
Aug 30 Traps checked in the morning, No
evening check was made. More lemmings
found in the freezer; these were
Wainright specimens from the
beginning of the season. Also some
from Pitt Point collected by Bill
Maker. More [illegible] packed
for shipping. After processing all
left over lemmings, I prepared a
study skin of a know-age lemming
and 1 a Microtus caught earlier
in the season at Mead River.
Aug 31 Traplines were checked in the
morning, traps were not checked
in the evening. Various things
cleaned up about the cub.
Sept 1 Traplines VII and VIII picked up
in the morning, no lemmings
had been caught in either one of
the lines. Both lines were extremely,
