Brock 1957 Journal Banow, Northern Alaska Aug 20 Four traplines were placed out today for a second run for this season, they are III A + III B and IV A + IV B Aug 21 Ran the four traplines in the morning and evenings. Processed lemmings. Aug 22 Ran the four transects in the mornings and the evenings. Hank Childs and I processed over a hundred lemmings today. Bill Maker was at Pitt Point today and has been here now for several days. Therefore, when Frank Pitelko's letter requesting seal samples from Pitt Point, was received today, a phone call was made to Bill to collect the samples while he was there. This was done by Bill Maker who picked the samples while it was "raining, wind blowing and he got very wet" Aug 23 Traplines III A + III B and IV A + IV B were run in the morning and evening. Time did not allow retrieving the traplines in the evening. Over a hundred lemmings were
