Mr. Brock 1957 Journal Aug 16 Pitmegea River, Pope Sabine, Alaska at least a dozen were seen. Childs Could not find anymore wheatears today either. Yesterday a willow ptarmigan was shot as well as several wheatears. Today the ptarmigan and on wheater were prepared as study skins. Weather has been much more windy today than yesterday. Aug 17 Weather still quite windy. Childs and I took a walk about 1.5 miles SW over the tundra looking for various birds - very little was seen.
