M. Brock 1957 Journal Barrow, Northern Alaska July 24 Lemmings were processed. July 25 Transects VII and VIII checked in morning and evening. A very large number of juvenile longspins were cought in both lines. Lemmings were processed during the rest of the day. July 26 Transects VII and VIII run in morning and evenings with many longspins once again being caught. Lemmings were processed during the rest of the day. July 27 Transects VII and VIII run in morning and evening. More longspins cought. Some skinning done during course of the day. July 28 Checked traplines VII and VIII in the morning which have now been left out for seven checks. Line VII has still not caught a lemming. Both lines were picked up. Lines V and VI too were set out which will now start the second run of all these lines. July 29 Checked trapline V and VI in (morning check was not possible) morning again caught many longspins.
