M. Brock 1957 Journal Barrow, northern Alaska July 20 very close to the end of line IV A. Some bird skins prepared and several lemmings processed. July 21 Transects IV A, XI and XII were checked in morning and evening A couple of bird skins were prepared July 22 Transects XI and XII checked in morning and evening; Transect IV A checked in morning and since it has been out for nine days now, it was picked up. No lemmings had yet been caught in trapline IV A. Lemmings were processed during the day July 23 Transects XI and XII checked in mornings and evening. Lemmings were processed. July 24 Transects XI and XII were picked up today although no lemmings had been caught in either trapline. The traps had been left out for nine checks The area is extremely wet, many (most) of the stakes standing in water. Traps were moved to Central Marsh when the last two of the traplines were set out.
