Brock 1957 June 14 Journal Alkosuk, Mead River Coal Mine, Alaska Tr. VI. This trapline apparently was staked every 20 feet only for the first 200 feet, became thereafter, the stakes appear only at the 100 foot marks. A red poles rest was found in the willows near stake nine. Small land snails were found in the moist areas, Cineridella beetles and trichoptera were also seen. Checked traps in evenings - nothing cought. June 15 Transsects VII + VIII were checked and picked up. Traps carried to Transsects III & IV. Transsect V under snow, transsect II only half staked. After figure new stakes should have been the traps were started. One Dicrostonyx was taken in Transsect VIII. The evening check on VII and VI yielded no animals. June 16 No Lemmings caught in the morning run of transsects III & IV but in transsect II one trap was off and had some Lemmus hairs in it. Also along this line one trap was missing. In the evening check of the traps, the only thing taken was a St longspur in Transsect II
