June 10 Atkasuk, Dead River Coal Mine, Alaska
After finishing the morning run I had still not caught a single lemming. One very dead Micratus was brought in on the first day we were here by one of the eskimo boys, and given to Bill Maher.
Bill told them we would give 50¢ a piece Micratus measured 162-35-19-[illegible] full off (atten)
I have not yet seen a live lemming or Micratus at Atkasuk. I paid a boy 50¢ for the Micratus maybe more will be brought in now? At 10:45 while I was at Transect II a jaeger was seen in vicinity Transect I
Transect number III was staked out on the south side of the very large lake north of the Atkasuk village. In the evening checks of the two traps, I and II, whereas one had a lemming while no. Two had a Deerstonyx.
June 11 The Lemmus and Deerstonys were pressed for Dicus as a study skin for ARk. The Transect I & II were checked nothing in them.
