Remarks. SINGLE RED TICK.
6/3/39. & exceedingly common along train line to forest in the open country. Not plentiful in forests fly above the tree tops there.
14/3/39. Fairly common in forest clearings + above the top level. Feeds in fairly heavy rain.
15/3/39. Feeding more today & low where clearing occur but not along narrow track clearings. Mostly about above the leaf canopy
16/3/39. Feeding much as usual.
17/3/39. Feeding in light rain, always high up.
20/3/39. Both species of Coll. seen every day but not many of this species.
24/3/39. Not so many about as usual.
27/3/39. Very common & feeding much but always above the tree tops.
28/3/39. Lati commencing to feed.
30/3/39. Feeding much close above tree-tops of forest.
WAILU 5/5/39. Common about heathlands + grasslands.
MAY Always present in numbers especially in open types of area.
13/6/39. Large numbers seen feeding high over river flats on moist satch.
17/6/39. Feeding extremely high up in numbers.
