Remarks SINGLE RED TICK.
14/3/39. A smallish parrots were seen which may have been this species.
16/3/39. A large flock of a dozen parrots were seen, which appeared intermediate in size between Symphieus & Trichoglossus which may have been this species. If they were they were in company with some Symphieus as the call of that species were heard with them.
17/3/39. only once two calls heard during very rainy day.
20/3/39. Timber cutters speak of a largish long tailed parrot with a crest, which may be this species of Symphieus. Am as yet uncertain from descriptions in Japanese French.
22/3/39. A small parrot between Symphieus & Trichoglossus in size was seen on the wing.
24/3/39. Twice a pair of parrots between C1. + I. in size, fast wing beats + better flyer than C1. were seen on wing. No description obtained. calls were different to C1. + I.
30/3/39. A specimen collected on 28/3/39 though at first to be Charmosyna is definitely this species.
