SINGLE RED TICK. 6/3/39. a louder call heard in forest may be this species but more likely a Flav. in distress at losing its mates. 30/3/39. Believe this species is entirely absent in forest. VAHU 5/3/39. Common in area, especially in open areas about lantana + guavas. up to 30/5/39. Common in more open types of country, lantana ganta + guava thickets. also about river scrubs. 13/6/39. Exceedingly abundant in open grass-scrub flats at river mouth. 17/6/39. Numbers greatly reduced + birds very shy. 19/6/39. Normal + abundant. 20/6/39. Slightly below normal across flats.
