63. ZOSTEROPS (FLAV) XANTHOCHROA :: (GRAY). A. M. N. H. has. EIGHT (8). Wants. (8) EIGHT Exchange value. GOOD. Total Permit No. 15 No. forbournea. 3. Remarks. 6/3/39. Not common in forests.. feeds at all levels, 3 parties seen one each in tree tops, middle + ground areas. 14/3/39. a few seen & heard, subdued in rain 15/3/39. More active today, not family parties of 6 or more are common live in forest. 16/3/39. A few parties of 6 seen, but not common today. All were feeding very high at 40 ft + more up. 17/3/39. Very inactive, only 1 seen. 20/3/39. Not at all common in forests, very widely scattered. 24/3/39. Comparatively rare in forest. 27/3/39. More abundant & active this fine morning. Even so not common generally seen in small parties of up to six. 28/3/39. Only 1 seen very high in forest. 30/3/39. More than usual seen in forest. Several parties seen feeding mostly low, but a few high up. An all live feeder. WAILU 3-5/5/39. Numbers seen. Does not seem as abundant as natural's except in scrubby areas. Appears to vary somewhat from Borogues area. upto 30/5/39. Fairly numerous about river trees + scrubs + gardens. A few in forest areas. & numbers in guava vegetation in cultivation. 13/6/39. Does not appear common in dry areas near river mouth. 17/6/39. None seen all day where numbers were previous day. 19/6/39. Few about flats. Normal again, common about scrubber areas. 20/6/39. One ran across flats, common about scrubs.
