Remarks.
6/3/39. Exceedingly noisy + abundant in the forests. The majority seem shy, some are cheeky. Feeds much on a sticky wold tree.
14/3/39. Exceeding noisy + plentiful. Feeds + calls a lot during rain.
15/3/39. Noticable this species was neither as active or noisy as usual when the rain was off
16/3/39. Exceedingly common but does not commence calling till 2 hours after sunrise.
17/3/39. Not as active or noisy as previously, but more active than previous days. Feeds + calls much in all but heaviest rain.
20/3/39. A number seen + heard as usual.
21-24/3/39. Plentiful but not as noisy as usual.
27/3/39. Very abundant + active, but not calling much.
28/3/39. Common + active but not as noisy as in wet weather.
30/3/39. Noisy + active.
WA/LU 4/5/39. Not abundant but a few are seen. Appears smaller than in forest areas. So persecuted for eating by natives & whites.
upto 30/5/39. A few about not at all common.
13/6/39. Appears to be becoming more plentiful in lower levels of river valley.
17/6/39. None seen or heard.
19/6/39. Common about flats where it was absent on the 17th.
20/6/39. Still common on flats.
