6/3/39 Seems common in forests, but shy, wary. Doesn't respond to calls.
1/4/3/39 Seems fairly common but shy won't answer calls.
15/3/39 Two heard calling none seen.
16/3/39 3 heard calling none seen.
17/3/39 Four or five calls heard, one female shot, bad mount. SK.350 Fact 2-upon L.T.V.
20/3/39 More Myiagra than usual seen in short time. 29+1 male.
24/3/39 More Myiagra than usual heard calling. Finer weather may suit the species.
27/3/39 Seems more common in fine weather. So shy stand offish. Feeds mostly above 30ft in the forests.
28/3/39 Few or no calls till 8AM. Feeling always high up.
30/3/39 More than usual seen & heard. More active in sun. Feeds from middle to upper layers.
WAIL 4/3-5/5/39 Not very abundant in this open fertile country. A few heard in scrubby river side scrubs.
up to 30/5/39 Not very abundant but always widely scattered ones to be seen or heard. Favourites coffee cultivation where it perches on twigs on the under side of the leaf canopy of the shade trees & from there makes short flight after food.

20/6/39 Numbers heard calling in mangrove swamps.
