Exchange value GOOD. Total Permit No. 12. No. for Burma. 2.
Remarks.
14/3/39. Is also present in forest, a single family party feeding
in low scrub. Balls appear somewhat similar to the other
species. Very easily confused with it, except if the runfasting of
back is seen, appears also slightly more active.
SK 32 B female adult collected.
18/3/39. Seen feeding mostly above 50ft. Is exceedingly active in the
upper half canopy. One shot about 50ft up in forest tree.
17/3/39. One presumed by its activity to be this species seen high (60 ft) in forest.
20/3/39. Several seen high up in forest. Distinguishable by greater activity.
One seen low. Long sweeter song but not so loud as other species, soft musical.
Believe they fall higher just low.
22/3/39. A few seen.
24/3/39. A number seen all high up.
27/3/39. Seemed more common this morning. Feeding much higher
low.
28/3/39. Numbers seen feeding high. Kettle feeding.
30/3/39. Only one seen feeding very high.
WARU 3-5/5/39. Very abundant in this valley, seems usual.
up to 30/5/39. Very abundant all over the district. Visits often areas early
+ late. Seldom seen in short grass grazing paddocks unless
there is some form of cover, shrubs, trees etc., scattered about.
13/6/39. Does not seem as abundant in the low-land as it was a month ago.
17/6/39. Not as active or common as usual.
19/6/39. Normal as usual.
