This little species is definitely forestial as shown both by the habitat in which it occurs although and by the slenderness of its hind feet. From the above it appears that trapping was conducted during a breeding season, though perhaps at first during pre-breeding period, as the only pregnant ?s were taken late, Mar. 19. The number of males is but 2 pairs original, the others being slightly withdrawn into incipient pockets in the skin. At Wundi on the mainland up the Orlomo R. one breeding ? was taken (but not kept) April 1st. At Old Nawattn (Apr. 10) a ? had 3 small embryos At Melbduan (April) 9? specimens were secured.
