1 0-4" Very dark brown to black
(10 YR 2/2) partially decayed
moist organic matter.
2 4-12" Fine sandy loam mottled from
strong brown (7.5 YR 5/6) to
grey (7.5 YR 5/0) with brown
(7.5 YR 5/4) the dominating color.
Many of the brown mottles
follow channels containing partially
decayed plant roots. Moist to
wet. Weak platy structure.
