26 Chile 1958 16 Aug Pitmezer River, Cape Sabine, Alaska Set T5 & T6 in a.m. and skinned mint not done yesterday. got 39 min in p.m. Weather clear + sunny. 17 Aug Weather cleared by noon. Wheaton still here. got 22 min this a.m. near 61 km first 24 hrs! 18 Aug Weather cleared some in p.m. Found a dog of Mysterious Minions behind camp on the Pluff. Amazing—at this point! 19 Aug Completed T5 & T6. Set T7 & T8. A Shad- Bill full adult and dependent juvenile moved on to one bar this morning and the adult raised Cain every time we go out. got 44 mins tonight including 5 lammers. 20 Aug Plane arrived with Gindardig as replacement for Ed Clebch. So I went out to trap a snow wolf across river mystream. Called to Gin who walked mystream and shot wolf. Traveled wrist deep across after specimen as we shipped out the boat on the plane. 21 Aug Catching up on species. Still solly in a large numbers. 22 Aug Today I found the trap I have been looking for all dinner. It was a most beautiful and shapely trap—one whose praises should be sung to gay and bountiful crowds—a trap of rare perfection—
