Childs 1958 10. 3 June Patrouza River, Oye Sabine, Alaska To Tz and got my scent. We were all set To get another bear as he was headed directly towards us and the wind was in our favor. We also missed the Cabin later. Two sparrows were seen behind the tent. Spent the day skiing as it was foggy. Finally got our hopes out of the ice! Bumble Bees have been immense since we have arrived Druda One purple flower has also been in blossom on the bar. In the marsh E. vaginatum also in flower. In the evening the fog cleared and the sun came out with no wind. The timber was radiant. The foles were out and 6 were seen of 4 pairs. Pete saw a large squirrel near the cabin. 4 June Pantaplin and skinned in a.m. Then walked up river to one mile creek and as I rabbit cross it, followed it looking for fox dens. Shot 2 white crowned sparrow along the stream with one shot. Took a Buddy Turnstone also. About 1 1/2 mi upstream walked to top of a well rounded art tall hill and get a beautiful view of the surrounding country. It was clear & warm. Saw 6
