childs 1957 Journal 29 Aug 18 Patrezen River Cape Sabine, Alaska Flow over hills to Kuskpuk River. Hills barren mouth of Dyrenik River entering Kuskpuk through high country. Very small birds of Caribou in this area, wind from south! Bank along coast as hills clouded in. Plenty of Oldsquaws, flocks of Brant along coast to Pt. Lay and to Wainwright. Stopped at Pt. Lay for gas. Several flocks of godwits seen. Best runway rain all year was in Olympia aside the runway here. Saw Yellow-billed Loons to the north. At Liz C. saw golden eagle feeding on Walrus and another immature, with near the moment. Arrived Barrow 2 p.m. Aug. 19 Packed specimens and cleaned up lab! Helped Sharks sort grass clippings. Sullivani brought in immature Golden Eagle (2nd year bird) he can just fly hard!!!. It is for Mar's zoo. Aug. 26 Departed from Barrow for Los Angeles.
