Children 1957 Journal 28 15 Any Patrungea River Cape Sabine Alaska Broke and Gram traps and went to jäger lithool where we collected 4 Wheatears and saw several others. Walked to coast and slept at cabin. Fluted Peregrines. After sung tigers hunted for more Wheatean or lithool behind Owl Ridge. got 2 + saw 1 more. Collected 2 godhits 16 Any Only one Wheatean seen although all + D spent several hours each looking for them. Begin to strip camps. Completed transits at 2100. 17 Any Checked Owl Ridge to Bigger ridge to the West for Wheatean (none) and back along creeks. No birds except four Lamypurs. Plane arrived at 2200, pilot staying overnight. 18 Any Clamtock Road to Light. Returned and packed all gear except Stone Store, Lideing, and Humpole. Left 1800 for Cape Sabine, Pt. Hope, and Cape Thompson. 5 Cormats seen Nmi W. Cape Sabine. Noarban at Cornin Coal Mine. Small rookery of alcid here. Grizzly seen ½ nm to Lishrine. Large whale offshore. Plenty of ducks in lagoons. 2 Ravens seen. At Cape Lishrine large radar site and Tremendon, rookery of hundreds of thousands of alcids. Rounded hills of Barrens very extensive Willow shrub along drainages from Lishrine to Pt. Hope. Large flat area back of Pt. Hope. Polygonized, Lowers near Cape Thompson. Large Wooden structure.
