Aug 11 Point Barrow, Alaska
Set out transects 1, 2, 5-8.
Aug 12 Finished my ridge speleomns.
Aug 13 Saline gulls, Arctic Terns, and red phalaropes,
by the hundreds close along shore feeding on
invertebrates. We took picture of them
at 6-10' range.
Aug 14 Finished transect 1, 2, 5-8 and line plot
2.
Aug 15 McNatt left for Half-moon 3 with Father John.
Started line plot 4.
Aug 16 Installed 3 more speleomnes & 1 pseudo-speleo
on the beach ridge. Total of 33 speleomns.
Aug 17 Started bird trapping. Last night there was
an informal meeting with Dr. Quam & lab
personal to discuss the general program. She
started off and did a fine job of putting
an ecological emphasis tying most of
the projects together. He put the following
diagram on the board
