Dec 11 Left Berkeley at 1:54 PM, odometer indicating 31149 miles. 4:16 PM. arrived at locked gate [# 2043 on lock] leading north from Pancho Rd. Locked gate 2539 leads to South, about 1/2 mi. down road, after it box crossed Silver Creek. 1973 Jan. 6. Pancho Creek, 630 ft., Fresno Co., Calif. Left Berkeley at 12:45 today bound for Pancho area. Trip was 140 miles + long, took 2 1/2 hours. I drove down Route 5, exitng at Pancho Rd. The road condition is considerably better than on my last trip, Dec 20, when I became stuck in the mid of the road. Trapping sites are as follows: about 1/2 mi. from Big Pancho Rd on Road with lock 2043 (Western Road with this lock #), on road leading along creek. Traps (25) were set in a flat, open field surrounded by Taller brush (6' Tall). very few shrubs in the clearing I trapped. Three parallel lines of traps
