Courtis Bbs 1972 Journal May 19 2 mi W Sawmill PK 6600 ft Clover Mtn, Lincoln Co, Nev. I saw a ? and ? Black-headed Grosbeak here and the male did a flight display. I saw 4 flocks of Red Crossbills, of 2, 3, 3, and 6 birds respectively. Near the road work out, I saw a Wilson's Warbler, and Steller Jay in the same low willow I saw them in yesterday. A few yards later stream I saw a ? Broad-tailed Hummingbird feeding on the yellow flo. of a low legume plant 15" high. He visited about 2 dozen pts. Further on, I saw a pair of plain Titmice, and in a Cordel (?) s I saw a White-breasted Nuthatch. Mourning Doves are common along the stream. I returned by the same route about 10:30 A.M. The sun was shining intermittently by that time; although the wind was still blowing. Species seen: Mourning Dove Broad-tailed Humming Bird Empidonax sp.
