This area is a saltbush flat, with considerable mixture of Oalea fremontii. Rodent burrows are scarce, and there is more open ground than at the base of the mtn. just east of the station. There were overcast conditions, which followed considerable rain. I set my traps in two lines N north and east of a dirt trail that continues due west of the Lowe-Poleta Rd. when it veers west towards Lowe. By moon caught 2 D. microps, 1 Sactoma segid, 2 Onydrus leucostes, and 1 Pergathrus longipalpis.
