Set 40 Sherman line traps in 2 lines of 20
0.4 mi. East of White Mts. Res. Station.
This is a gravelly slope just east of a
dirt road which marked the western most
extent of remaining natural vegetation in
the Owen Valley. Four O. majora and 2
O. merionis were taken, all but one
were in the 10 traps nearest the road

Bleate Rd. = Line St.
WHRS
This area is primarily a shortscale
area, with sarcobatus almost absent. It
resembles the "gravelly benches" at Four Pine
(type locality for L. m. merionis.) Than the sandy
study site at Big Pine, although density
of microps in all three places is about
the same.
