Cousins, Blair 1976 Journal March 12 Yucca Valley, San Bernardino Co., California Juck was indeed better today. I asked for a map at the "Bookalley" bookstore in town and the proprietor gave me information about a U.C. Land Water Reserve in the Presidio area. 714-365-2766 Robert Moon (and Rita) a grad student from UST of Keith Justice, took me to the Reserve on the Burns Ranch, and told me that only two weeks ago some of Dick McMillan's students caught 1 Okpohapa microps on the Presertown flats. Paul Bailey 55491 29 P Hwy, (365-76 26) has access to Little San Bernardino SITE Combination. The gate is near of U.C.'s founding. I am told the exact locality of the previous capture of D. microps is unknown - just "off Road" coming in from Prescott town's. I divided my traps as follows: W slope "Block Hill" (30); Junction of Burns Rd and Presertown Rd (20); Presertown Flat (20); 2 mi E Presertown (20). March 13. One D. microps was taken in the twenty traps set at the junction of Burns-Pine Ridge Rd and Presertown Road. The other localities yielded only 120 meriones and one Perognathus merionalatus. These were less quarry cover between the Blackhawk where the single individual was taken. It was near the level of the trap line, and very
