Guti, Blair 1974 Journal 2 mi. E. Big Pine, Inyo Co., California April 12 a supposed camp called Forest Bridge, 2 mi. W Big Pine, but found it abandoned. We waited there until they setting traps even though a strong wind was blowing out of the canyon all the while. We waited until 5:15 PM, then drove to the trap site, located as mapped below: Trap lines were run north north from RT 268 and east from the road to the radio telescopes. The area trapped was dry lake bed covered with raised mounds. Plants present included Altrix coniferifolia (quite succulent this time of year), Sandulus sp., and a few Atemejin tndentata plus Chrysophrasma mancous. Total 102 traps set, the last at Nightfall. We drove south to Independence Then West up the canyon to Gary's Woodland's campground - which I stayed at before - but found it "closed for season". The bar across the entrance was open so we came down and camped there anyway, since we would be leaving at first
